The story I carried this morning of 5 patients from an `extended family' hospitalized with suspected bird flu symptoms continues to seep out, in drips and drabs. Right now, the details are uncertain, and vary from one published report to another.
This latest report is from metroTVnews, and they now have it as 6 people hospitalized, and 2 additional family members still at home, reportedly with symptoms.
This story is obviously fluid, and subject to change.

Six patients was suspected BIRD FLU was treated IN RS the FRIENDSHIP
Jakarta: six patients were expected by bird flu from Serang, Banten, Jum'at (21/12) tonight was treated in Isolasi Rumah Sakit Space (RS) the Friendship, Jakarta Timur.
They consisted of two women and four men.
All the patient received the intensive maintenance to ascertain the sign of bird flu that was suspected.
The six patients were named Mubin, Nujul, Najad, Muchlas, Iklima and Ainun.
They were expected terjangkit the bird flu virus after mengonsumsi the duck that died because of being sick.
The duck that they consumption was one of the 15 ducks that died suddenly belonging to one of the patients were expected by bird flu.
After eating this duck, all the patient suffered the fever, nauseas that were similar to the sign of bird flu.
Initially, the number of patients was suspected of by bird flu consisting of five people.
However, tonight one other patient was also expected terjangkit the bird flu virus, so as to take part in being treated in this space of the hospital isolation.
According to Lukman, casualties's family, still had two other people in the same family it was suspected terjangkit the bird flu virus.
Originally, the six patients were treated two nights in the Public Hospital of Daerah Serang.
