The Reveres over at Effect Measure dissect a Japanese study on how and when to close schools in order to avoid larger outbreaks of influenza.     It is, as they state, a long post on their part . . . but one well worth taking the time to explore.

 

The study, which appears in the EID Journal, is entitled: Evidence-based Tool for Triggering School Closures during Influenza Outbreaks, Japan  A. Sasaki et al.
