Since the A/H1N1 outbreak began to make headlines around April 23rd, we’ve had no updates from the World Health Organization about Avian Flu cases . . . until today.

In short order we learn of two cases, one in Egypt, and one in Vietnam who contracted the H5N1 virus.  Both were infected around the middle of last month, and both were hospitalized on April 21st.

While the Egyptian case is reportedly in stable condition, sadly this case from Vietnam ended with the woman’s death.
