Over the past few days a good many theories have emerged regarding the shift in demographics – and spike in cases – of human H5N1 cases reported out of Egypt over the past 3 months.
Already in 2009 there have been 12 cases, while in all of 2008 that nation only reported 8 cases. And unlike in the past, nearly all of the cases this year have involved toddlers.
