A MAN confirmed infected with bird flu disease last month in Guizhou Province is now recovering.
The 29-year-old man, surnamed Zhou, was confirmed infected with H5N1 strain of bird flu on January 25. He's now out of danger and all the clinical symptoms have been cleared, according to a report by Xinhua news agency today.
Zhou had once come into close contact with a live duck before infection.
The hospital organized 30 experts for the disease treatment and control.
"The patient finally came out of danger and is no longer contagious. He is now in recovery stage and under observation," said Sun Zhaolin, president of the provincial hospital.
China has reported five human deaths from the H5N1 virus so far this year and Zhou is the first to show symptoms of recovery.
