Thailand Bird Flu Suspect Tests Negative

A week after entering the hospital, Thailand's latest bird flu suspect has reportedly tested negative for the virus.    No other details, including the patient's condition, were provided.

 

 

Thailand hasn't reported a human bird flu infection since 2006, when they saw three cases, all fatal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chaiyaphum man tested negative to bird flu

 

Chaiyaphum – A man who was suspected of having contracted bird-flu virus has tested negative, the provincial chief health officer said Friday.


Chaiyaphum chief health officer Churat Khusakulrat said results of lab test by the Medical Science Department found that Prommma Kulket did not catch bird flu as earlier suspected.


Promma was admitted to the provincial hospital on March 1 with bird-flu-like symptom after eating sick chickens.

 


Churat said no bird flu case has been detected in the province this year.
