A hat tip to Dr.Arash Ghalyanchi, our Iranian flu blogger, for sending me this OIE report on the outbreak that was recently reported in his country.
This incident- which occurred on December 12th, 2007 and was reported on January 16th, 2008 - involved the deaths of 14 backyard chickens out of a flock of 489. The remainder of the flock was culled.
No other outbreaks have been reported at this time.
This incident occurred in the Mazandaran Province of Iran.
