Secretary of Health and Human Services, Mike Leavitt, began a new blog last week after surviving the Pandemic Leadership Blog earlier this summer. True to his word, he has been updating it fairly regularly, and is currently detailing his trip to Africa.
Although not a bird-flu centric blog, Secretary Leavitt is providing a rare look at his job, and the world around him, through his own eyes. This is an extraordinary step for a public official to take, and one that should be applauded and encouraged.
I've placed a perma-link in my side bar to Secretary Leavitt's blog. It will be interesting to see how this experiment unfolds.
